This year (2024) the MCM x EGX show was happening at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London. This is the largest event for the UK’s gaming, comic and pop culture community. According to the organisers over 100,000 fans turned up.
The London Origami group were invited to demonstrate and teach origami. As part of the display they chose to fold a very large version of my spider.
Here you can see members of London Origami setting up their display. On the left you can see them attaching a very large spider to the back wall.
And here, demonstrating the size of that spider is Andrea Slade a member of the London Origami group.
Not content with huge spiders one of the members decided to fold a very small version...
This tiny arachnid was folded by Brendan Plumb who has an Instagram page showcasing his miniature origami.
And if you haven't had enough of spiders so far, here's the diagrams for this one so that you can fold your own version.
